After 23 years of working with thousands of Filipino children in need of special protection, Bahay Tuluyan has launched a campaign to have a 'Home of our Own' in Manila.

Through the generous sponsorship of the Planet Wheeler Foundation we have purchased a piece of land in Leveriza St, Malate, Manila and now we want to turn this into a haven for children including crisis center, drop in center and training center.

We expect that this building will be able to benefit at least 50,000 children directly over the next 10 years, with a flow on benefit to another 70,000 children, families and their communities.

1989

Bahay Tuluyan started providing shelter for children in the basement of Malate Parish Center

1999

Bahay Tuluyan moved to a vacant nurses' house at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Manila, where we continued to provide shelter for children

April 2008

Bahay Tuluyan's lease at the hospital ended and the campaign for A Home of Our Own began

December 2008

Planet Wheeler donated a piece of land in Malate, Manila for our new home.
