Participatory Children's Street Theater & Arts Program

Bahay Tuluyan

The Participatory Children’s Street Theater and Arts Program is a program designed to develop and enhance the creative skills of children. This program gives children the opportunity to express themselves using a variety of creative mediums. Children are given training in the use of basic integrated theater arts, including writing, singing, dancing, acting and visual arts. Besides the critical outcome of increasing children’s self confidence and self esteem, this program is very important in giving children a chance to express themselves and to process their emotions. After completing the training, the children participate in theater advocacy. This not only gives them the ability to share their newly acquired skills but at the same time they are able to advocate to the wider community about children, children’s rights and children’s issues.
