Bahay Tuluyan believes in children’s capacity to change the world!
Children at Bahay Tuluyan are involved in many aspects of the management of the organization.
Each of Bahay Tuluyan’s centers has a Children’s Council which is composed of officers elected by their peers. The Children’s Council is responsible for helping to organize activities in the center, running their own projects and consulting with the staff every month to plan and discuss issues.
Children are also involved in conceptualising, designing and running programs for children. Many children of Bahay Tuluyan have trained to become facilitators through one of Bahay Tuluyan's various alternative education programs. After completing such a program they are able to reach out and teach other children using a 'child to child approach' of service delivery.
