Recent activities at Bahay Tuluyan:
- 20th Anniversary Celebration - 12 August 2007
Bahay Tuluyan celebrated its 20th anniversary on 12 August 2007 in Victoria, Laguna. The occasion was marked with the blessing and opening of
- 2 new houses for the children of Bahay Tuluyan and
- BT Child at Venture Entrepreneurial Training Center (including internet cafe and coffee shop)
The day was a great success and we thank all of the people who attended to celebrate with us.
Current and upcoming activities at Bahay Tuluyan:
- PILAK Street Children's Festival - 26 January 2008
Bahay Tuluyan is organizing a festival for street children to be held in the City of Manila on 26 January 2008. The festival aims to:
- provide street children an opportunity to get together, celebrate and express their voice;
- show street children that there is an alternative to life on the street and provide them with role models of ‘success stories';
- improve street children's understanding of their rights, provide information about services for street children and provide direct services and activities aimed at promoting the rights of street children; and
- launch a network of street children in Metro Manila.
The festival will run from 1pm to 6pm, followed by open-air performances by local artists between 6.30pm and 9pm. Approximately 40 booths will be set up offering various services and activities for children (such as puppet shows, health and dental services).
We are aiming to host approximately 1000 children, although all interested parties would be welcomed. If you are interested in sponsoring, attending or volunteering at the festival, please contact us - info@bahaytuluyan.org.

Bahay Tuluyan's annual advocacy tour in Australia, KidsView will take place in April and May 2008 around Australia. Details to follow.
