Recognizing that a family environment is the best place to raise a child, Bahay Tuluyan works with children, families and communities to reintegrate children who have become removed from their own family environment.

Children may not be able to stay with their own families because they are not safe, their family has no capacity to care for them or their family may not be able to be located.  Wherever possible Bahay Tuluyan seeks to reunite children with their own families.  If this is not an option, then placements with extended family members or foster families may be organized.  Children who are close to reaching the age of independence are given assistance to boost their capacity to live independently.

Bahay Tuluyan's After Care Program provides assistance to families to ensure that the child's reintegration is successful.  This may be through referrals, follow up monitoring or financial or in-kind assistance.
