Children's Handicrafts

Children involved in Bahay Tuluyan’s programs have a chance to earn income and develop new skills by making a variety of handicraft products. The income from these products is used to support the Children’s Councils of Bahay Tuluyan and the programs of the organization.

The participation by children in these projects is designed to be ‘child friendly’. Participation by children is voluntary and children are appropriately compensated for their involvement. The work and working conditions are carefully monitored to ensure that they are appropriate to the child’s age and development and that they will contribute to the advancement of the child’s skills. Purchase of these products will directly help the children who produced them.
