On the 20th November 2010, in commemoration of the 21st year of the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child and Universal Children’s Day, Bahay Tuluyan hosted the Children’s Rights Festival in Manila with the theme 'Makabatang Mundo' (A Child-Friendly World). On that special day 2500 marginalized Filipino children walked in solidarity to Luneta, Manila to celebrate their rights. A strong level of support was shown for the event, with Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Soliman celebrating the festival alongside 700 volunteers, 60 NGOs and a number of special guests.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and CIFA, an Italian NGO working for the protection of children, were the major partners in the staging of this festival.
